Job title 1: Front End Developer

 

Basic qualifications

 

  3+ years of industry experience in software development

  Knowledge of Angular web application Framework

  Understand view layout and rendering technologies (e.g. responsiveness, progressive enhancement, browser/device support).

  You have a good understanding of agile development methods, such as Scrum, pair programming, code reviews, CI/CD etc.

  You are interested in the financial markets and financial products

  You have a particularly well-developed capacity for abstraction as well as good analytical and conceptual abilities


Preferred qualifications

 

  3+ years of experience in Angular.

  Able to demonstrate knowledge of front end system design, interaction with back end APIs, and performance/security considerations.

  Able to solve software and UX problems with high levels of ambiguity. Pushes for information to avoid solving the wrong problem and to mitigate risks early.

  Able to decompose problems into clear software and UX design actions.

  Able to demonstrate knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and strong problem solving skills.

  Experience in working with cloud computing platforms such as Azure

  Good sense of humour

Job title 2: Data Scientist



Basic qualifications


  Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (Millions to Billions of rows) of data from different product groups and business functions

  Fluency in a scripting or computing language

  Experience in Python and analytics platforms

  Experience of statistical analysis, experience with Python

  Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL is mandatory

  Strong visualization and communication skills.

  Experience with exploratory data analysis, testing and modelling

  Good analytical skills; Good verbal and written communication skills


Preferred qualifications


  Master’s or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering.

  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) majors with quantitative emphasis – Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering etc.

  2+ years of relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modelling, and communication.

  Experience working with Machine Learning/Deep Learning for real world problems.
  Strong background in computer science: algorithms, data structures, machine learning, and distributed systems.

  Proficiency in R and knowledge of SAS will be considered as an asset

  Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments and contexts.

  Ability to explain complex analysis to a non-technical audience with your storytelling and data visualization skills.

  Practical experience in solving complex challenges using data analysis and modelling.

  Experience working with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch or Caffe

  Experience using one or more of the following tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Mongo, Spark-Streaming
  Experience in Entity Framework, SignalR, MSSQL etc.



Job title 3: DOT NET Developer

 

Basic qualifications

 

  3+ years of industry experience in software development.

  Programming experience with .net frameworks.

  Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

  Experience writing clear, maintainable and extensible code.

  You have a good understanding of agile development methods, such as Scrum, pair programming, code reviews, CI/CD etc.

  You are interested in the financial markets and financial products

  You have a particularly well-developed capacity for abstraction as well as good analytical and conceptual abilities

  Experience in the practical application of Microsoft Technology Stacks (ASP.NET CORE / .Net Framework 4.8, C#), preferably in agile projects

  Experience in working with cloud computing platforms such as Azure

Job title 4: Data Manager

 

COVARIANCE P.C. is currently looking for a data manager who thrives on the chance to decipher data systems. As the data manager, you will oversee the development and use of company data systems, and guarantee that all information to and from the company runs timely and securely.  All chosen candidates will take part in written exams and successful candidates will be invited to oral interviews. To excel in this role, you should also have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

 

About the role

 

Your primary focus will be the implementation and onboarding of new clients onto our in-house developed software
platform for regulatory reporting in the asset management domain.
Your day-to-day activities will be an interesting mix of data analysis, transformation and validation as well as acquiring
deeper insights into the regulatory requirements for the upcoming ESG regulations, including SFDR, and other ongoing
projects from MiFID, PRIIPs to risk reporting.
Your existing skills in data management, including interfacing, gap analysis and standard ETL tools, help you understand
the typical client challenges and offer support in overcoming them. Validating the outputs, testing the end-to-end flows is
key in delivering our projects in a timely manner and to our clients’ satisfaction.
You will closely work with teams across our offices within a multicultural and geographically diverse delivery team
environment.

 

 

Main responsibilities

 

  Support in data analysis, collection, aggregation, and transformation both in existing as well as new client
onboarding projects
  Ongoing creation, testing, validation of our products and regulatory reports of national and international asset
managers
  Understanding our client’s data, products, and applicable regulatory requirements to implement into our software
solutions.
  Actively supporting clients to learn and use our software solutions.

 

Requirements

 

  Academic background with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, Economics, Finance,
or other related field with strong quantitative focus.

  Excellent command of MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

   Excellent knowledge of oral and written English.

  Advanced knowledge in ETL and data science applications, e.g., Pentaho PDI

  Experience in data management of asset managers, in fund accounting systems and reporting flows is preferred.

  Previous experience in software implementation and project work is preferred.
